Bahrain Heart Failure Conference Ends on High Note with 200 Experts, 20 Keynote Speakers

The Second Bahrain Heart Failure Conference and Exhibition concluded on Saturday, after two days of sessions. The event featured 200 specialists and 20 speakers and was attended by a group of doctors and heart failure specialists from both inside and outside the Kingdom of Bahrain. Additionally, specialized cardiology professors from various universities, institutes, and international medical centers were present.

Organized by BDA for medical events, the conference was accredited for 12 hours by the National Health Regulatory Authority. It was held in strategic partnership with government hospitals, the Mohammed bin Khalifa bin Sulman Al Khalifa Cardiac Center, the Gulf Heart Association, and the Kuwait Heart Foundation.

This significant medical event thoroughly examined all aspects of heart failure and related diseases, such as coronary artery disease, hypertension, myocarditis, and heart attacks. It also covered advanced diagnostic methods and the latest treatment techniques and featured several intensive workshops on these topics.

Discussions spanned a wide range of critical issues, including the risks and factors for predicting and preventing acute myocardial failure deterioration, protocols for managing cardiogenic shock, clinical and practical strategies and trials, and hemodynamic guidance for treating heart failure through arterial aortic catheterization for valve implantation. The diagnosis and treatment of rare types of heart failure were also addressed.

The conference highlighted the importance of collaboration between various health sectors to combat heart failure, a major chronic disease impacting human health. It emphasized the necessity of keeping up with the latest advancements in diagnosing and treating this condition, including new pharmacological and surgical treatments, as well as rehabilitation techniques.
