The Equal Opportunities Committee at Bahrain Bourse in collaboration with the Supreme Council for Women held an awareness workshop targeted towards businesswomen to brief them on the various investment instruments available at Bahrain Bourse. The workshop comes in line with a series of initiatives supporting equal opportunities and gender balance to enhance the investment competitiveness of women in various sectors and fast-growing markets.
The workshop focused on familiarizing attendees with “Bahrain Trade” Platform, one of the innovative online trading solutions launched by Bahrain Bourse in 2017, and is offered to licensed retail financial institutions (conventional and Shariah-compliant) in the Kingdom of Bahrain enabling individuals holding retail accounts with participating banks to trade directly on Bahrain Bourse through an online platform, hence offering simplified market access.
Attendees were introduced to “Bahrain Trade” that offers an online trading platform that is in line with Bahrain Bourse’s efforts to facilitate investors’ access to the market and better meet their needs.
During the workshop, Mr. Ousama Nusseir from Asset Management at Al Salam provided a detailed explanation on “Al Salam Invest” platform that is being offered to the bank’s clients, and is one of the platforms under “Bahrain Trade”. Mr. Nusseir clarified that “Al Salam Invest” offers trading in various shari’a-compliant investment instruments in Bahrain Bourse as well as regional and global markets, including equities, ETFs, Mutual Funds, and Sukuk. The platform is convenient and easy-to-use and is integrated with one access to both banking accounts and trading accounts.
