The future of Mixed Martial Arts in Bahrain seems to be well taken care of. Only four days after Abdulla Al Yaqoob’s brilliant performance to win his fifth professional fight, it was Mohammed Alsemeea who took the center stage and put on a show to successfully win his professional debut at BRAVE CF 72, held at the Bahrain National Stadium.
Even though that was his professional debut, Mohammed Alsameea performed like a veteran. Keeping his composure and studying the opponent, the 19-year-old Bahraini got two takedowns within the first round and kept control the whole time, first from the half-guard and later very active with strikes from the full guard.
The second round started like the first one ended. Alsameea quickly took Hassan down once again but, this time around, the Bahraini was determined to finish the fight. He got the full mount with a very technical transition and from that position unleashed his powerful ground-and-pound until the referee stopped the bout. Speaking inside the cage after the fight, Alsameea showed that his dreams are only matched by his incredible potential. “I have so many people to thank. His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Hamad Al Khalifa, my coach Eldar Eldarov, my colleagues at KHK MMA… They and many more were very important to me. But, don’t get me wrong, I’m just getting started, I will get that belt and become the world champion”.
