Al Salam Bank has partnered with the Smile Initiative to organize engaging activities for children with cancer in support of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. The activities took place on Tuesday, 19th September 2023, at the Bank’s headquarters.
The initiative comes as part of the “Kids R Golden 10” campaign which aims to raise awareness about childhood cancer by arranging a variety of innovative events, activities, and programs including arts and crafts, interactive games, and educational workshops across various areas in the Kingdom.
Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Mahmood Qannati, Head of Marketing and Communications and ESG Officer at Al Salam Bank, said: “In line with the “Kids R Golden 10” campaign, we were beyond delighted to welcome our children and bring joy to their hearts. This initiative also aligns with the Bank’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) plan, as we look forward to taking part in similar initiatives that raise awareness among various segments within the community.”
This step falls under the Bank’s Guiding Pillar “We Act with Empathy”, a fundamental aspect of Al Salam Bank’s social responsibility platform, “Helping Hands”, and its ESG framework. In addition to aligning with the Economic Vision 2023 and the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
