Striving to strengthen Bahrain Polytechnic relationship with the industry leaders and providing students with exceptional career prospect, Bahrain Polytechnic organized a Career Fair for graduates of several Conversion Programs on Tuesday 24th October 2023 at the Polytechnic campus in Isa Town.
The event that was jointly organized by the Bahrain Polytechnic’s Career and Employment Center (CEC) and the Life Long Learning Directorate has welcomed more than 40 companies from the public and private sectors who participated in the Career fair providing employment opportunities for more than 200 graduates of several Bridging and Life Long Programs provided by the Life Long Learning Directorate at the Polytechnic. Attendees had the opportunity to interact with prospective employers and submit applications for available job positions during walk-in interviews, which was the focal point of the day.
Commenting on the importance of the event, Director of the Life Long Learning Directorate at Bahrain Polytechnic, Abdul Ridha Desmal said “this Career Fair is targeting a diverse pool of MOL registered job seekers who have successfully completed our industry-specific conversion programs that prepare and well-equip them with the skills and knowledge needed for their transition into diverse fields including HRM, Digital Transformation, iOS Development, UX Design, and Information Systems”.
“Through this event and similar initiatives, the Polytechnic seeks to contribute to the bridging of the gap between job seekers’ existing skills and their desired career which is also the purpose of the Conversion Programs that offer comprehensive support to help individuals make successful transitions into industries they previously had little or no experience in” Abdul Ridha Desmal added.
Conversion programs for job seekers are designed to help individuals with non-traditional backgrounds or skill sets transition into new careers or industries. These programs offer training, resources, and support to assist job seekers in acquiring the necessary skills and knowledge for their desired roles.
